Two-Win Weekend For Jason Hamilton!

ERWINNA, PA - It was a dream weekend for Jason Hamilton and the Flurer Machine & Tool No. 16 team on the PA Dual-Track circuit.

On Friday night at Big Diamond Raceway, Hamilton posted a heat-race win and started the 25-lap 358-modified feature from second position. Getting shoved back to fourth early, he sat second when race leader Kevin Albert spun on a lap-eight restart. He squeezed through the incident with only sheet metal damage.

Fending off the challenges of Sean Merkel, Hamilton drove to his first-ever 358-Modified victory at Big Diamond.

Saturday night got off to a rough start when Hamilton got spun on the opening lap of his heat. Rebounding to finish second in the 12-lap qualifier, Hamilton rolled off third for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series 358-Modified 30-lapper.

He worked by Sean Merkel on a lap-11 restart down low and pulled out to a huge lead when rain and lightning caused the feature to be curtailed on lap 25.

It was Hamilton's second career win at Grandview and completed a unique back-to-back sweep of the PA small-block ranks.
