Another Top-10 Effort For Hamilton

BECHTELSVILLE, PA - The night didn't start out as planned, but it ended up alright.
Surviving two heat-race scrapes to put the Flurer No. 16 into the feature field, Jason Hamilton started last Saturday night's Grandview Speedway NASCAR Whelen All-American Series 358-Modified headliner from 17th.
Despite a wild, often contact-filled battle in the second half of the top-10, the Erwinna, Pa., driver rode the outside line to eighth, his fifth straight top-10 finish at Grandview.
"Not making the (top-four) invert in the heat killed us," said Hamilton, who didn't want to see the race's final caution on lap 27.
"We were getting going on the top before that yellow."
Racing resumes for Hamilton at Grandview on Tues., July 1 for a Thunder on the Hill Series event.
