Hamilton Thunders To Third

BECHTELSVILLE, PA - Jason Hamilton and the Flurer Machine & Tool No. 16 team "thundered" to a strong third-place finish in Tuesday night's Thunder on the Hill Series 25-lap 358-Modified event at Grandview Speedway.

Starting sixth in a talent-filled field, the Erwinna, Pa., driver charged into second, challenging early leader John Tschudy before running out of room entering turn three on lap five.

Hamilton regrouped to chase veterans Doug Manmiller and Duane Howard across the stripe in the Bob Miller/Bruce Rogers-promoted event.

"We might have been able to get a win if I had gotten by the 2 (Tschudy)," Hamilton said. "We still have a little work to do on the car, but we're pretty good on a dry track."

Hamilton now has six straight top-10 finishes at the Hill.

Racing continues on Saturday at Grandview on a night presented by team sponsor Beer City.
